Yihong Zhao was a visiting scholar with the Center for Information and Communications Technology Research (CICTR) in the Institute of Electrical and Computer Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University.

She is an Associate Professor in Chengdu University of Technology, and her research interest includes: Optical Fiber Communication, Optical Fiber Sensors, and Quantum Communications. Her visit to CICTR was financed by Chengdu Shangshang Information Technology Co. Ltd., Chengdu, P.R. China.
